FARMING WITH KIDS
Learn about farming by doing it: feeding animals, planting, picking, grooming horses, trimming feet, gathering eggs, milking goats. Work depends on age of the children and weather. An adult must accompany the child/ children. $5.00 for adults, $4.00 for children. Adult must accompany child. No reservations needed.

The guilded tour is a chance see and touch our animals and to learn about farm life. Your visit will include some of the following: goat milking, wool spinning, gathering eggs, organic gardening, horse training, how to raise goats, sheep and horses, how electricity is made on the farm. The focus depends on the ages and interests of the visitors. No reservations needed. Price: $6.00/adults, $5.00/children 3 and over. Minimum tour charge is $30.00 (Or call to book a tour just for your group).

Introduction to solar electric (photo voltaic), solar thermal, wind, micro-hydro, geo-thermal, conversion of a diesel vehicle to used vegetable oil (UVO). Includes cost, production, grant information as well as review of energy savings on several systems in operation on the farm. Also includes inspection of on-site straw bale house. Price includes one year membership to Sullivan Alliance for Sustainable Development. Please bring a bag lunch; beverages will be provided.
$60.00, which includes membership in the Sullivan Alliance for Sustainable Development (www.sasdonline.org).
